College Examination and Evaluation
The teachers of individual departments regularly assess students' learning through cards containing items of concerned subject. Card Final and Assessment Examinations are regularly held at different levels throughout the year. Students will have to secure 60% marks to pass any level of examination. College authority conducts an annual examination for the students at the year-end. To get promotion to the next higher level, eligibility for appearing in the professional examination needs 60% marks in the periodical examinations with 75% of class attendance. This Institute is committed to produce quality doctors by maintaining the academic standard strictly.

Notes:

Pathology includes General pathology, Systemic pathology, Hematology, Clinical pathology and blood Transfusion etc.

Microbiology includes Bacteriology, Immunology, Virology, parasitiology and Mycology etc.

Medicine includes Medicine in general, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Infectious and Tropical diseases, Veneral diseases and physical Medicines etc.
4
Surgery includes General Surgery, Orthopedics Surgery and Traumatology, Ophthalmology Otorhinolaryngology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Radiotherapy and Dentistry etc.
5
Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Neonatology and Family planning etc.

College Rules: Discipline
Students must follow the rules and regulations of the college. A student's name may be struck-off from the college register under the following circumstances:

1.
For remaining absent from classes for more than 15 days without any information.
2
On disciplinary ground (subject to decision of academic council.)
3
Creating disturbance to the academic atmosphere.
4
Taking part in student politics.
5
Unsatisfactory academic performance.
6
Disciplinary actions are taken by the College authority as per merit of each case

Course Evaluations

(A) In-course Examinations
Students are expected to maintain a consistently high standard in their academic work. In-Course evaluations will be made through regular periodic class tests, quizzes, assignments and all term examinations conducted by individual departments. The term exams shall include written (Combination of MCQs, Short & Essay questions), orals, practical/clinical including OSPEs and OSCEs. The results shall be recorded in students' Progress Report Cards/Log Books. 10% of marks of written on each paper of each subject in the University professional examinations shall come from scores obtained in in-course evaluations.

No students shall be allowed to sit for professional MBBS Examination of the University unless he/she attends a minimum of 75% of classes held, secures at least 60% marks in class assignments & periodic in-course examinations and demonstrates satisfactory attitude, behavior and conduct.

(B) End-Course Examinations
The University of Dhaka will conduct three professional Examinations for 5 years MBBS Course as shown in tables after this paragraph. There will be two professionals in the first week of January and July each year. Pass mark will be 60% in each of written, oral, and practical / clinical examinations separately.
