Introduction
B.Sc. Nursing Unit (Proposed International Nursing College) of International Medical College (IMC) conducts high quality academic program to produce nurses as per international standard. It intends to kindle light of learning in its students that matches with the need of healthcare employment market both in home and abroad. The total set up of B.Sc. Nursing Unit, IMC has been organized in a well planned way, so that the students can acquire even a single skill or learning which is essential for their profession. Mission
B.Sc. Nursing Unit, IMC defines its mission as follows :

To educate future professional nurses who possess knowledge and competencies at the national and international standard relevant to social needs.

To enhance students to be a self-oriented, moral, accountable, self-directed and self-developed person who always ready to provide quality nursing service.

To utilize knowledge in helping people for developing and / or maintaining quality of life, improving nursing profession, and society.

To conduct B. Sc. Nursing (BSN) as well as MSC In Nursing (MSN) to produce highly skilled nursing manpower and teacher.

Goal
After completion the Bachelor degree in Nursing the graduate will be a competent professional nurse who can demonstrate the competency of using knowledge based practice for provision of holistic client centered Quality Nursing & Midwifery Service.
Care to meet needs and expectations and to promote, maintain & restore health of individual, families and communities in common, Simple and complex health problems or situations.

Location
B.Sc. Nursing Unit, IMC is situated at the 2nd floor of the College Building. It is located at Gushulia at the outskirts of the commercial township of Tongi and is about 22 km away from the zero point of Dhaka. The major bus stands/terminals, main railway station and Hajrat Shahjalal International Airport are within maximum automobile distance of 40 minutes. Amenities and modern facilities of city life is near enough though separated in the spell-binding scheme of nature, is truly a unique feature of natural look of the Unit.

The Campus
The maddening busy streets and concrete forests of the capital city keeps at a distance from the college. The campus stands in a solitary environment amidst green vegetation, spaced villages and large water bodies. One takes a walk around the campus to take fresh breath while enjoying the panorama. International Medical College Hospital is the teaching hospital of the college as well as of B.Sc. Nursing Unit. It is a 500 bed multidisciplinary Hospital Complex which is located in the proximity to the College building. The present campus of the College comprises over 23 bighas of land. The total floor space of International Medical College & Hospital is 204055 sqft. The Total under construction floor space is 126828 sqft. The existing facilities in various floors are also adequate to meet all study related requirements of MBBS and B.Sc. Nursing students.

Faculty
Academic Faculty of the College now consists of about 150 member's blend of a distinguished body of senior academics with proven teaching and research excellence and young enthusiastic but dedicated professionals. Like MBBS students, B.Sc. Nursing Unit students, too, are taught by Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and other professionals.
